I’ve added the ability to add a donate link to a project. Just click edit on an existing project to add it. The field will be there, and so is the case for adding new projects. I’ve also added the ability to add helpful links for a project, these are on the right sidebar on the project page.
I’ve been working hard on the past week on this, and now it’s done. OSSpinions now has a point system. The concept basically is that you can earn points writing reviews or participating in other ways, and then you can spend the points on rewarding others to review projects that you are interested in. The detailed rules are listed here. For people who participated before, I’ve done my best to give you retroactive points. This idea was honestly stolen from thesixtyone.com, which is a kickass music sharing/discovery site. I think this feature will make the site more fun, and also give you the little nudge you needed to start participating.
The DNS update seems to have taken some time to propagate through the internets. So if you had trouble visiting the site the last couple of days, that’s why. I apologize.
I have migrated the whole site to a virtual host at Slicehost, which should run faster and scale better in the future. Also, I have some new ideas for the site, so stay tuned =)
